The doctor explained that the admission medical assessment of Mr. A had found that he suffered from chronic kidney failure and KHSDWLWLV WKDW KLV FRQGLWLRQ ZDV GHWHULRUDWLQJ DQG WKDW he was undergoing regular dialysis at the General 6HFXULW\ +RVSLWDO SULRU WR KLV DGPLVVLRQ 7KH GRFWRU VDLG WKDW EHFDXVH RI WKH GHFLVLRQV WDNHQ LW ZDV KLV opinion that Mr. A had received all of the necessary medical care for his condition and that his death was ZKDW PLJKW QRUPDOO\ EH H[SHFWHG LQ OLJKW RI KLV FULWLFDO health challenges. 7KH 2PEXGVPDQ 2IÀFH DOVR VHFXUHG WKH 3XEOLF Prosecution documents relating to the investigation of the death of Mr. A and the forensic medical report. It was recorded that the death of Mr. A was found to be due to cardiac arrest related to last stage kidney failure DQG FLUUKRVLV RI WKH OLYHU DQG DV LW ZDV FRQFOXGHG WKDW WKHUH ZDV QR VXVSLFLRXV FLUFXPVWDQFHV WKH FDVH ZDV closed. ,Q OLJKW RI DOO RI WKH HYLGHQFH H[DPLQHG WKH 2PEXGVPDQ 2IÀFH FRQFOXGHG WKDW LW ZDV WKH FDVH WKDW 0U $ KDG serious medical problems at the time of his admission to the Dry Dock Detention Centre and that the care provided to him was appropriate.
