The Ombudsman visited Jau Reform and Rehabilitation &HQWUH WR VHH VWXGHQW LQPDWHV VLW WKHLU HQG RI ÀUVW VHPHVWHU H[DPV 7KH 2PEXGVPDQ 2IÀFH DQG 3ULVRQHU DQG 'HWDLQHH 5LJKWV &RPPLWWHH 3'5& KDYH been very proactive in encouraging the development of increased capacity for inmates to engage in programmes of education and development. In line with its commitment to respect and diversity WKH 2PEXGVPDQ 2IÀFH UHSUHVHQWHG E\ D GHOHJDWLRQ from the Directorate of Monitoring of Rehabilitation and 'HWHQWLRQ &HQWUHV FRQWLQXHG WR HQJDJH ZLWK GLIIHUHQW religious and cultural awareness activities and events provided for inmates and detainees. During a visit to WKH 'U\ 'RFN 'HWHQWLRQ &HQWUH WKH GHOHJDWLRQ ZDV EULHIHG RQ DFWLYLWLHV DQG HYHQWV DWWHQGHG E\ GHWDLQHHV as part of educational and cultural programmes under the leadership Ministry of Interior leadership.
