1 –Health services
Indicators
Access to health care, physical and psychological professionals and the treatment
of addiction is in a timely manner.
Care is available for prisoners or detainees in the medical department or in any out
of facility hospital by health care professionals.
Health care workers are informed on the status of the prisoners or detainees and
their diverse needs.
The medical services are clear and include the administration's policy, training and
supervision.
Medical examinations are confidential
The treatment rooms guarantee decency and privacy
There are procedures to control infection in the clinic facilities and among the
prisoners or detainees.
All equipment (including the resuscitation kit) is ready for use and regularly checked
and maintained.

Arabic or English, and check the use of interpreters or telephone translation
services
To whom healthcare staff (doctors, nurses, other health care professionals) report.
Where their line manager is located and whether the office is appropriate and can

How often healthcare workers received training and supervision to have the right
skills to meet the health needs of the prisoners or detainees.
Whether doctors work full-time work in the clinic and whether their hours of work are
appropriate.
Whether the details of professional medical records are kept and the procedures for
checking out.
What the arrangements are for clinical supervision
The condition of treatment rooms, infection control measures and procedures,
whether they provide decency and privacy, and if they are solely for the use of
health professionals
