5- Prisoner or detainee care
Indicators
Prisoners or detainees have access to clean and comfortable facilities
Prisoners or detainees are provided with a mattress, pillow and clean blankets.
Hygiene packs for women are available, and are routinely offered on arrival and on
request.
Personal hygiene and other facilities are provided.
Prisoners or detainees who require a shower are offered the opportunity to do so.
Prisoners or detainees whose clothing size is not available are provided with suitable
alternative clothing, as soon as practicable. Changes of clothing, especially underwear,
are facilitated.
