CRPD Organises Training Workshop  

Manama, Mar.19.2014 (BNA) -- Commission for the Rights of Prisoners and Detainees (CRPD), yesterday held a training workshop, in cooperation with the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Manama, where experts from Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Prisons for England and Wales delivered the lecture.

 The two-day training workshop highlighted the work of the regulatory institutions in following up prisons and detention centers and procedures followed relating to visiting prisoners and detainees in prisons, detention centers, juvenile care centers, hospitals and other places where they can possibly kept.

 It also addressed organizing declared or undeclared periodic official visits to detention centers and following up basic standards provided there.
