Ombudsman receives French, German ambassadors

Ombudsman Nawaf Al Mawada has received Ambassador of France to Bahrain,  Cécile Longé, and Ambassador of Germany to Bahrain, Kai Boeckmann.

They reviewed the Ombudsman’s cooperation with international organizations and institutions, as well as exchanging views and ideas regarding the work of the Ombudsman and the Commission for Prisoners’ and Detainees’ Rights. They also reviewed the Ombudsman’s activities and efforts and reviewed the statistic figures and data mentioned in the Ombudsman’s fifth annual report (2017-2018).

 

Al Mawada reaffirmed the Ombudsman Office’s keenness to avail from the relevant international expertise pertaining to legal and functional jurisdictions to continue the international cooperation programmes initiated by the Ombudsman from the outset since it was established and until the present day.
