Ombudsman Office organizes an international conference

Her Excellency Mrs. Ghada Hamid Habib, the Ombudswoman, announced the Independent Ombudsman Office will organize over the course of October 18 and 19, 2023, a major international conference on the occasion of the celebration of the tenth anniversary of its inauguration, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Nawaf bin Mohammed Al-Moawdah, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, under the title “The Effectiveness of Ombudsmen in Institutional Work and their Role in Promoting Respect for Human Rights”. 

The Ombudswoman confirmed this conference is a platform for those interested in the work of ombudsman offices from all over the world to come together to discuss and exchange ideas related to the work of their institutions, and their role in promoting respect for human rights. In addition, selected topics have been chosen through several interactive sessions that engage in important issues in the field of ombudsman offices work with their historical and reference dimensions, and the most important standards and practices that govern their mandate where experts specialized in this field will give speech. The conference also provides an opportunity for communication and joint cooperation between many stakeholders, academics, and executive officials who will attend its sessions.
