Ombudsman meets with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Arabian Peninsula Affairs

Ombudsman Nawaf Mohammed Al Ma’awda met today with the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Arabian Peninsula Affairs, Daniel Benaim who was accompanied by a delegation from the US embassy in Bahrain.
 
The meeting was attended by Deputy Ombudsman, Ghada Hameed Habib.
 
The Ombudsman hailed the US delegation’s visit which comes within the framework of international cooperation activities and communication with representatives of diplomatic missions in Bahrain.
 
The visiting guest was briefed about the duties of the Ombudsman’s Office and the pioneering procedural steps taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain to protect human rights, particularly those benefiting children and inmates.
 
Present at the meeting from the Ombudsman’s Office was also International Cooperation and Development Director Shaikh Mohammed bin Ali Al Khalifa, and Chief of the Human Rights Affairs Sector at the Foreign Ministry Dr. Arwa Hassan Al-Sayed.
