Ombudswoman Belgian Ambassador discuss cooperation

She underscored the office’s dedication to transparency and collaboration, particularly in training programmes and professional skill development.

She also provided an overview of the office’s key activities and initiatives, drawing on statistics and insights from annual reports.

The Ombudswoman outlined the mechanisms for handling complaints and assistance requests, the investigative approach, and the cooperation of relevant authorities in ensuring effective responses within the justice system.

She also highlighted the role of independent accountability institutions in promoting human rights practices within law enforcement agencies, correctional facilities, and detention centres.
