Ghada Hamid Habib, Secretary General of the Ombudsman Office, received Dr. Ayşe Hilal Sayan Koytak, Ambassador of Türkiye to Bahrain.
The Secretary General wished the Ambassador success in her diplomatic mission, contributing to the advancement of relations between the two countries and their peoples.
The Secretary General highlighted the Ombudsman Office’s work, emphasising its specialised mandate and the international standards it adheres to, in line with best practices followed by ombudsman offices and prison and correctional inspection bodies worldwide.
She also highlighted the office’s engagement in international cooperation programmes, including its participation in regional and global forums.
She noted that the Ombudsman Office is a board member of the Association of Ombudsmen of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States, currently chaired by the Turkish Ombudsman.
She highlighted the office’s participation in several association meetings held in Istanbul, Türkiye, either in person or via remote platforms.
The Secretary General underscored the office’s readiness to explore avenues for cooperation with relevant entities and institutions to enhance professional skills and exchange expertise.
