Interior Minister receives Ombudsman annual report

General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, received Ghada Hamid Habib Secretary-General of Ombudsman.

The minister received a copy of the Ombudsman’s annual report.

He directed the Interior Ministry authorities concerned to respond to the ministry-related points in the report to promote community partnership and cooperation with all national organisations and NGOs. 

The minister commended the Ombudsmen's commitment to professionalism through objectivity and impartiality to reinforce justice.

He emphasised Bahrain’s efforts to develop the community and humanitarian initiatives to promote human rights and criminal justice, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, supported by Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The minister highlighted the significance of promoting transparency and accountability principles and constructive interaction with regulatory authorities within the state of organisations and law. 

General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah noted the development of regulatory authorities' work mechanisms to enhance performance and services.

The Ombudsmen’s Secretary-General thanked the minister for his keenness to further enhance cooperation.
