The Ombudsman Office has received a delegation from the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) chaired by Gayle Manchin during their visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Ombudsman Nawaf Al Ma’awda welcomed the guests affirming the Office’s keenness on extending bridges of understanding and communication with the concerned local and international institutions and organisations. He briefed them about the Office’s efforts in consolidating the principle of transparency and activating international cooperation and development, citing the Commission’s delegation visit to the Kingdom in November 2017.
He highlighted the Office’s efforts as well as those of the Commission for Inmates and Detainees Rights, in the previous period aimed to serve the public in their respective fields as well as boosting the respecting of the human rights principles at all levels inside Bahrain.
Ghada Hamid Habib, Director of Development and International Cooperation, was also present during the meeting.
