His Majesty the King issued Royal Decree No.: 13/2014 stipulating the formation of the Commission for the Rights of Prisoners and Detainees:

 The Royal Decree stipulated the formation of the Commission for the Rights of Prisoners and Detainees presided over by the Ministry of Interior Ministry-based Secretary General of the Ombudsman and the following membership:-

 - Dr. Jawahir Shaheen Al-Modahki.
 - Osama Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor.
 - Maria Antoine Khoori.
 - Dr. Waleed Khalifa Al-Mani'.
 - Abdullah Ahmed Al-Durazi.
 - Saad Abdullah Al-Shamlan.
 - Ahmed Yusuf Al-Maliki.
 - Attiyatalla Hassan Rouhani.
 - Mohammed Mirza Aman.
 - Mai Sami Mattar.
 - Wael Rasheed Bu Allai.
 - Ali Abbas Al-Showaikh.

 The term of their membership in the Commission shall be for three years.
