Information Minister receives Ombudsman

Manama, 22/1/2015 (BNA) -- Information Affairs Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al Hammadi has affirmed the importance of cooperation between the Ministry and the Office of the Ombudsman to keep abreast of Bahrain's achievements and modern development in all fields, during His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's prosperous era.

Receiving the Interior Ministry's Ombudsman, Nawaf Mohammed Al-Maawda, the Minister reviewed ways to enhance cooperation, affirming the ministry's support to establishing closer ties.

The Minister valued highly the efforts by the Ombudsman's Office to promote the principle of transparency and its keenness on meeting the citizens' aspirations to achieve progress.

Al-Maawda praised the Ministry's efforts to develop the media sector and expressed readiness to achieve closer cooperation.
